TOPIC: WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE SAVED?
SCRIPTURE: Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost. Titus 3:5
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You have been “re-gened,” rewired, repainted, refurbished and rebranded through Jesus Christ to succeed in life.
The Scriptures reveal that the Cross of Calvary is the cure for the curses of life.
The Cross remains the answer to every ancestral and generational limitation and curse plaguing the lives and destinies of men (Galatians 3:13-15, Colossians 2:13-15). This is because the Cross of Calvary brought the offer of salvation and redemption to mankind. We are saved as we believe in the Son of God (John 3:16).
However, it looks like many Christians, even though they have given their lives to Christ, do not understand the implication of salvation. They don’t know what it means to be saved. Even though they are in Christ, they do not seem to understand what the life in Christ offers them.
In our study today, we shall look at what it means to be saved.
Now, what does it means to be saved?
To be saved is to be regenerated and renewed.
Titus 3:5 says,
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.
What does it mean to be regenerated? It means to be re-gened, that is, to be given another gene.
And what is a gene?
The gene is responsible for the transfer of character and inheritance.
In Christ, you have been re-gened, that is, you have been given another gene; you have been given the Christ Gene.
So, regeneration means to be re-gened; it is like being rewired or being repainted.
The old gene you inherited from your ancestors brought you calamity, curses, sin and sickness.
There is a new gene in Christ; it is the Holy Ghost Gene. It is the Gene of the Son of God that brings you liberty. To be re-gened means the previous gene that limited your destiny has been replaced with a new gene that brings you liberty.
So, you have been re-gened, rewired, repainted, refurbished and rebranded through Jesus Christ to succeed in life. The revelation of this truth is the cure for every ancestral limitation that may be plaguing your life and destiny.
Remember this: You have been re-gened, rewired, repainted, refurbished and rebranded through Jesus Christ to succeed in life.
ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Always renew your mind with the fact that you have been regenerated if you have given your life to Jesus.
2. Connect to the life of Christ by faith and reject every activity of the old life.
PRAYER: Thank You Lord for showing me my status in Christ. I declare that I have been re-gened, rewired, repainted, refurbished and rebranded, in Christ, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
