TODAY’S TOPIC: PRAYERS UNLOCK DIVINE REVELATION

TEXT: Daniel 9:1-3, 20-27(NKJV)
1. In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the lineage of the Medes, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans —
2. in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years [specified] by the word of the LORD through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
3. Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes.

ANGLICAN DAILY FOUNTAIN STUDY FOR 19TH NOVEMBER 2022:

To divine revelation and wisdom. He fervently sought the face of the Lord in prayers and fasting: “Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes” (v.3 cf vv.21,22). Our God remains the Omniscient God. None of His Divine attributes will ever diminish.

Just as Daniel sought His face in prayers and got an understanding of his time and dispensation, we can also seek His face in the midst of religious crises, political instability, corruption, incessant killings and all kinds of evil and crises we are experiencing in our personal lives, Church and nation. He promises to answer us when we call on Him. Jeremiah 33:3 says, “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”

PRAYER: O Lord grant us the burden to pray until we receive answers in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen
