DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST 12 MARCH 2023
TODAY’S TOPIC: CONTENTIOUSNESS
SCRIPTURE: PROVERBS 20:3; 27:15-16
TODAY’S WORD: DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST
Godly persons hate fighting, they back out of conflicts involving them and they help bring peace when others are fighting (Psalm 120:7). However, fools void of godly character provokes others in various ways to continue conflict and strife. They are simply contentious.
Worldly men think fighting is manly, not knowing that strife is devilish and evil from hell (James 3:14-16). Fighting marks, a carnal Christian and a likely candidate of hell (1 Corinthians 3:3; James 4:17). It takes discipline and strength to resist quarrels. Is there contention and strife between you and your spouse, child, neighbour or brother? Do the honourable thing; end it by making peace.
REFLECTION
A man of discipline and strength resists contentions.
PRAYER
Holy Spirit, empower me to resist quarrels. Amen.
