DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST 13 MARCH 2023
TOPIC: INJUSTICE
SCRIPTURE: ISAIAH 59:8-10
8 The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.
9 Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.
10 We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noon day as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men.
TODAY’S MESSAGE ON DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST
Injustice is a major problem in our world today. There is unfairness and violations of rights of people all around. There is inequality in the treatment of people, the guilty are absolved and the innocent punished. People are discriminated against and stigmatized based on race, gender, status and class. The unjust man does not know the way of peace. He is a stranger to contentment and happiness. He lacks peace with God, with self and with others. He is involved in continual strife and agitation (57:20). He is not disposed to doing right. He is full of selfishness, falsehood, oppression, cruelty and chooses the path of fraud and deceit. Their ideas, counsels and plans are perverse and evil. Brethren, please eschew injustice and choose the path of justice which is honourable.
REFLECTION
Speak up against injustice.
PRAYER
Lord, help me to defy injustice regardless of who is involved. Amen.
