Fire Scripture:
Gen 2:18-24
18 And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
19 And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Marriage is the oldest institution born in the heart of God. God gave marriage as a gift to Adam and Eve. They were created perfectly for each other. Marriage was not just for convenience, nor was it brought about by any culture. It was instituted by God and has three basic aspects: (1) The man leaves his parents and, in a public act, promises himself of his wife Gen. 2:24. (2) The man and woman are joined together by taking responsibility for each other’s welfare and by loving each other above all. (3) The two become one flesh in the intimacy and commitment of sexual union which is reserved for marriage.
For a marriage to be blissful and be a heaven on earth, God’s purposes for this great institution must be followed diligently. The keys to a successful marriage are as follows: first, you must obey God’s word in 1 Cor. 7:5, It says that you must not defraud each other. Sometimes spouses deny their partners sex by giving flimsy excuses like, “I have a headache”, “I am very tired because I had a hectic day at work today,” etc. Beloved, for you to enjoy your marriage, you must be sensitive to the feelings of your spouse. Endeavour to satisfy your spouse even at the expense of your comfort. Families where the husband and wife enjoy each other sexually have the happiest homes(1 Corinthians 7:3-5).
Another vital key to a happy marriage is found in 1 Pet. 3:1. It says. Likewise, you wives, be in subjection to your own husband….”You must submit totally to your husband as a wife if you want to enjoy happiness in your marriage. Submission is not an option in a successful marriage but a command. Wives, note that a smile and a gentle spirit will go a long way to win the heart of your husband.
The Bible commands wives in Eph. 5:22 to submit themselves unto their husbands. Husbands are also commanded to love their wives. Obedience to these commands come with great reward.
MFM PRAYER TODAY 17 – 07 – 2023
MORNING
1) Lord, I thank You because You will never leave me nor forsake me, in the name of Jesus.
2) Power that puts marriages asunder shall not prosper in my home, in the name of Jesus.
3) Lord, strengthen my marriage with the bond of your love, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
1) Spirit and power of sexual lustfulness assigned against my marriage, release me and be bound, in the name of Jesus.
2) You my marital prayer altar, receive the fire of Holy Spirit and come alive now, in the name of Jesus.
3) Holy Spirit, break my family members down and remould us according to God’s pattern in the name of Jesus.
4) My marriage will not follow the evil pattern of my ancestors, in the name of Jesus.
