FIRE SCRIPTURE: Mark 15:43-45 (KJV)

43 Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.

44 And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.

45 And when he knew it of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.

MEMORY VERSE: “Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.” – Psalms 43:4

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTES:
It takes a rejoicing harp to give a reassuring sound and music. Don’t hang your harp!

PRAISE AND WORSHIP:
Take praise and worship songs as led by the Holy Spirit

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:
I DECREE INTO YOUR LIFE, THE VOICE OF REJOICING WILL NEVER CEASE IN YOUR TABERNACLE, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

MFM Devotional 4th February 2023 Message

The word ‘harp’ in this context connotes your worship, songs and praises; and any other form through which you reverence your Maker. Beloved, “Where is your harp?” Have you hung it as the children of Israel did in Babylon?” They hung their harps because of captivity, thereby giving the enemies a reason to taunt them. They got discouraged and depressed to the point of hanging their weapon of victory. They asked, “How can we sing the Lord’s song in a strange land?”

Probably, you too have been asking yourself, “How can I rejoice and sing in this kind of strange situation? How can I dance, when can’t even afford a three-square meal? How will I worship God, when I don’t have a child?” Plenty ‘hows’ that endlessly go on and on. I understand that it could be difficult to sing and dance during moments of trials but guess what? There is no better time to use your harp than in the midst of trials. There is no better time to use your harp to mesmerize the devil and his cohorts than during moments of tests. It is easy to use the harp, sing and dance during high and up moments of life, but the devil gets perturbed when God’s children defy trials to sing praises to God.

Have the situations you found yourself caused you to hang your harp? Cheer up, beloved. It is time to take hold of your harp and start engaging it in praises to Jehovah.

That was what Paul and Silas did in the Philippian jail (Acts 16:16-26) as well as Jehoshaphat and his people (2 Chronicles 20: 1-30). In these two instances, divine intervention and great victories were won for not hanging their harps. Your harp is your weapon of praise, don’t hang it. Your worship is your weapon, fight with it. Your voice of praise is your weapon; engage it to put the enemy of your soul to shame. I pray that as you begin to engage your harp, all the mountains of trials and temptations in your life will begin to melt, in the name of Jesus. Praise God today and you will testify as David did. Cheer up!

PRAYER POINTS FOR 4TH FEBRUARY 2023:

MORNING
1. My Father, let Your praises on my lips confuse my enemies, in the name of Jesus.
2. O Lord, let the power of Your high praises disgrace the enemy concerning my situation, in the name of Jesus.
3. Thou weapon of praise, arise and silence every evil tongue speaking against my life, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING
4. I invoke the mystery of divine praise against every power that has vowed that I will not sing my song and dance my dance, in the name of Jesus.
5. I refuse to hang my harp of joy, in the name of Jesus.
6. I refuse to be discouraged, in the name of Jesus.
7. O Lord, let Your praises provoke my testimonies now, in the name of Jesus.
