MFM DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY

TODAY’S TOPIC: THOU SHALL NOT STEAL
Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya(DKO).

Memory Verse: John 10:10A
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy….

Motivational Quote:
Lying and stealing are next door neighbours.

Prophetic Word for Today:
I decree that the agenda of the devil for your life, shall fail woefully, in the name of Jesus.

Fire Scripture:
Exodus 20:3-15 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

13 Thou shalt not kill.

14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

15 Thou shalt not steal.

16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.

MFM DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR 21ST NOVEMBER 2023

Today’s fire scripture reminds us that the devil is a thief. In heaven, he had the mind to take the throne of God so he could become God, but he was cast down. Remember Judas Iscariot, when the woman poured perfume on the feet on Jesus Christ, he began to lament that they should have sold the perfume and given the money to the poor. The Bible said he lamented because he was a thief. From being a thief, he became the betrayer of the Messiah. There is no small sin. The sin you think is insignificant will eventually lead to a “big sin” that will bring destruction.

Stealing ruined the destiny of Judas. The spirit of covetousness gave birth to stealing in his life. Are you contented with what you have? If you are not and always desire to have what belongs to others, you need to pray for forgiveness and deliverance. Today, in many nations of the world, there is corruption in high and low places. In fact, corruption is the bane of development in many parts of the world, especially the Third World countries. There is massive stealing in both the public and private sectors, leaving the masses in abject poverty.

God is not happy with thieves and He wants them to tum a new leaf. If you have stolen from anyone or any organisation, repent and make restitution today. Henceforth, do not take or keep what does not belong to you. Always return whatever you borrow to the owner. It is also always very good to ask before you take what does not belong to you, no matter how close the owner is to you. You may think you do not steal because what you are taking belongs to someone very close, maybe a family member, or maybe what you took is very small. beloved, it is stealing. The person may not even know you have his or her property with you.

Every believer needs to be very careful so as not to end up in destruction for little disciplines they ought to have imbibed. There are people who steal. Some have made it an occupation but you should not. You are a child of God.
