Bible Verse For Night Prayer
A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous. – Psalms 37:16-17
Inspiration
Better to have little and be righteous than to be wicked and live in abundance. When we are fooled by material wealth, we may be tempted to envy wicked people who seem to “have it all.” But we are told that is not the way. Our “little” is much better because we are righteous, We are protected from having our “arms broken,” from being chastised by the Lord. When we are content with what we have, we don’t fall into the trap of wickedness.
Prayer
Father, help me to be content with the little that I have. I choose not to envy the wicked people, even in their prosperity. I thank You for sustaining me. Amen.
