TOPIC: Winning In Life By Resilience
SCRIPTURE: And they digged another well, and strove for that also: and he called the name of it Sitnah. And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the Lord hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land. Genesis 26:21-22.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You need a degree of wearilessness, tirelessness, resilience, indefatigability and indomitability to win the battles of life and destiny.
There is a story of a little bulldog that would always go under the fence of its compound and cross the road to another compound to engage a big dog in a fight.
The big dog would beat the bulldog, throw it down, and the bulldog would run back home at the end of the fight.
But the following day, the bulldog would go again to engage the big dog in a fight. And again, the big dog would beat it so severely that it would run home.
Refusing to give up, the next day, the bulldog would go again and the big dog would beat it as usual. This continued until the big dog got tired.
One day, the bulldog was going to engage the big dog in a fight as usual, but when the big dog saw it coming, it started running. The big dog seemed to have said to itself, “I can beat you but I am tired of this fight. Let me agree that you have won so I can rest.’’
Beloved, you need such a degree of tenacity to fight and overcome all the forces that are trying to resist your destiny. You need a degree of wearilessness, tirelessness, resilience, indefatigability and indomitability to win the battles of life and destiny.
Isaac refused to be tired of digging wells even though he had previously dug several wells and people strove with him. One day, his enemies got tired; they could not stop him anymore. That gave him his Rehoboth, his place of rest (Genesis 26:19 -22).
Beloved, if you will not be tired of the fight, the enemy will be tired, and that is your victory.
Remember this: You need a degree of wearilessness, tirelessness, resilience, indefatigability and indomitability to win the battles of life and destiny.
ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Refuse to be tired in the battles of life.
2. the devil; take what belongs to you by resilience.
PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. I receive the grace to be tireless in life. Help me to fight and win the battles of life Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
