PASTOR JERRY EZE DAILY DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE FOR JANUARY 19, 2024
TODAY’S TOPIC: THE GIFT OF MEN
SCRIPTURE: “The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.” (John 5: 7)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
In our Focal Scripture, the man at the pool of Bethesda told Jesus that he had no man to put him in the pool. Apparently, if he had a man, he would have taken his chances in time past. If he had a man, maybe his story would have changed earlier. So apart from being in an infirmity that kept him at the pool and tied him down for thirty eight years, he also had a challenge of having no man to help. He had a challenge of ‘no man’.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: in 2024, God is raising men who will work in your favour. God is sending you men who will speak for you. God is sending you men who will carry you into your high places. God is sending you men who will ensure that the word of the Lord concerning you is fulfilled. God is sending you men who will open new doors and gates for you. God is sending you men who will fight for you whilst you hold your peace.
By the confession of that man at the pool, it is safe to imagine that he could have got healed if he had people to help him get into the pool. The help he lacked, kept him in the same state year after year. Hear me as I hear the Lord: in 2024, you will receive help that will help you to rise and move forward. You will receive help that will change your story. You will receive help that will give you what you cannot give to yourself.
Notice that the man at the pool made mention of men that can put him in the pool. He needed men who could take action. He needed men who had capacity to do what he needed. I pray for you: may you receive the gift of men who have capacity to move you forward. May you receive the gift of men who can speak for you when it matters most. May you receive the gift of men who see your need and are willing to make it your reality.
Receive the gift of good men who have capacity to add value to your destiny. Receive the gift of men who can make a difference in your destiny.
Isaiah 60: 10 says: “And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.”
Declare With Me: I receive the gift of men with the capacity to bring what I need, in Jesus’ name!
