Scripture Union Daily Guide 1st December 2023 Outline: 

As the situation in the world deteriorates, there is the tendency to think that things will never change for the better. There is a bright future for the people of God. This chapter depicts the future glory of Zion. Notice what will happen to the wilderness and the wasteland of Zion (vs.1 & 2). Our God is able to turn a wasteland into a green land and vice versa. He controls all the laws of nature and can withhold rain or send it at His pleasure. He has the whole world in His hands.

This is the reason those who are faint-hearted should claim the promise in v.4. God is going to reorder events and bring life to the desert and create a highway, a new life, for the redeemed. Note the characteristics of this highway in vs 8-10. There is a glorious and joyful future for all whom the Lord has rescued (v.9). We have the mission to enthrone the King of kings in the hearts of people in all nations.

►Increased awareness created about HIV/AIDS by relevant stakeholder-organisations including Scripture Union, to date
►Effectiveness of campaigns being mounted against stigmatization
PRAY FOR:
►The Union’s efforts at selling the message of Abstinence and godly lifestyle will continue to translate into salvation of souls, and that the souls will abide
►Strength for staff and pilgrims in the Aids for Life Department
►More hands will be trained and mobilised for the work in the Department
